Description
The cape gooseberry, giant ground cherry, golden berry, Inca berry or simply Physalis is an annual, herbaceous plant from the nightshade family. The fruit has an orange berry that measures 1 to 2 cm and is wrapped in a pale brown calyx. The golden berry originated in the Andes, but is now grown in the (sub) tropics of the world.
