Description
Used primarily for decoration on breads, cakes, pastries and desserts. The size of the poppy seeds are slightly smaller than the gray poppy seeds and are thus not so oily. The flavor is more intense than the gray poppy seed, due to a thicker shell.
The blue poppy seed is true to its name with its rich dark blue color. It tastes nutty and has a delicately bitter note.
