Description
Super lavender is a lavender hybrid of fine lavender and spike lavender. Nowadays it is grown more frequently, as its more abundant flowers produce more essential oil. This is similar to that of lavender, but is somewhat stronger and more volatile. The oil is extracted from the flowering shoots. In this process, the essential oil is extracted using steam. It is rich in linalool, linalyl acetate and camphor.
The plant chemotype is determined botanically and biochemically by the HEBBD.
