Description
Hemp is not only an environmentally friendly plant but also a great source of vegetable protein.
This carefully processed hemp protein powder is made in the best organic quality. Only pure seeds are processed. The whole seeds are cold-pressed and are mechanically processed. The hemp press cake is ground through a vibrating sieve, removing the seeds for a nutty hemp protein powder.
Recommended use:
- Mix 10 to 15 g (1 tsp = 5g) daily to make a smoothie, add to cereal or use for cooking.
Hemp-Walnut Bread
Ingredients:
- 450g wheat flour
- 200g rye flour
- 30g Naturya hemp protein powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 ½ tablespoons honey
- 200g of walnuts, chopped
Preparation:
- Mix the hemp protein powder with the flour in a bowl. Form a well in the middle of the dry ingredients.
- Mix the dried yeast with honey and 230 ml of warm water to make a dough. Add this mixture to the well and let stand for 15 minutes.
- Then add another 230 ml of water to the bowl and mix to form a soft, non-sticky dough. Then knead the dough on a flour-dusted work surface for 10 minutes until the dough is smooth. Add the walnuts and knead for another 2-3 minutes.
- Then place the dough in a lightly greased bowl and let it rest covered for 2 hours until the dough has risen to twice its size.
- Next, knead the dough for 2 minutes and divide it into 2 halves. Roll into two loaves and let rise for another 1 1/2 hours on a baking tray.
- Preheat the oven to 220 ° C, score the surface of the two loaves with a knife three times and then bake for about 15 minutes at a reduced oven temperature of 190 ° C.
- Let the bread cool completely and enjoy!
