Description
Ginger is native to the tropical and subtropical countries of India, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, Australia and South America, although the origin of the spice was likely the Pacific Islands.
Ginger has a strong flavour that lends itself to pumpkin dishes as well as other fruits and spices. Soups, sauces, poultry, venison and rice dishes of all kinds can be refined very well using ginger. The flavour could be described as fruity and spicy.
