Description
Lavender aspic, also known as spike lavender, is sensitive to cold weather and therefore blooms later than other types of lavender. It also grows at lower altitudes (less than 800 m). Because of its higher camphor content, it has a milder fragrance than other types of lavender. Its essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the flowering shoots.
The plant chemotype is botanically and biochemically determined by HEBBD.
