The Arlinger gravel is spread out in a layer on your incense sieve and incense is placed on top of this layer. This prevents herbal incense from burning up because the flowers, leaves, bark, resins etc. no longer directly lie on the sieve. The incense can now char as it should and does not burn. Usually, the sieve and the flame of the tea light are too close to each other which causes the incense and its ingredients to burn up. The gravel base also prevents resins from dripping onto the flame of the tea light.

Recommended use:
Sprinkle some of this gravel base on the sieve of your incense burner. Then place the incense on top.
