Description
Barberry powder is used as an activator in plant hair dyes specifically for blonde shades.
Application:
- Mix with 25% - 30% fenugreek powder, marshmallow powder or a neutral henna powder.
- This mixing ration will not influence the properties of the colouring characteristics.
- It can also be mixed with other plant powders such as rhubarb or curcuma.
- To achieve a cool blonde tone, it is advised to blend the plant powder with chamomile.
- The best results are achieved when the barberry powder is mixed on an alkaline basis - i.e. avoid adding any acidifiers such as yoghurt, vinegar or lemon.
Note:
It is not advised to use the pure barberry tree powder on its own, as a more inhomogeneous paste is formed that makes it more difficult to apply. Therefore it is recommended to use the powder as an additive instead.
