The wild long pepper is closely related to the typical long pepper. Its elongated fruits are slightly shorter yet more aromatic than its big brother.
Unique is the subtle, slightly nutty chocolate taste of pepper, hence, it is also referred to as the "chocolate pepper". It has a pleasantly mild spiciness that is only is only noticeable a few moments later. These properties are perfect for extremely versatile and creative use in the kitchen. Whether pounded, crushed or cooked as a whole - the exotic spice blends with beef, venison, lamb or smoked fish as well as vegetables, cheese or pasta. It also adds a boost of flavour to desserts, fruity drinks or a bit power.
Tip: Add "chocolate pepper" to freshly sliced banana!
