Chutneys are made up of a very diverse variety of flavours and are very versatile. You can find herbal, spicy, sweet, sweet and sour, creamy or pasty chutneys and pestos. Lots of chutneys are made with pieces of fruit and vegetables. Pesto are usually uncooked, thick sauces that are usually pasteurised.
