Five Lassi Recipes

Basic Lassi Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of water
  • ¼ cup of natural yoghurt
  • ½ tsp sugar (to taste)

Preparation:

  1. Mix everything in a blender.
  2. Add cinnamon, cardamom, rose water, grated pistachios or whatever else you like to taste!
  3. Serve chilled.

Lassi for Digestion

There are countless recipes delicious Lassis. This recipe is for a lassi meant to soothe digestion and reduce bloating.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of water
  • ¼ cup of natural yoghurt
  • 1 pinch of ground ginger
  • 1 pinch of ground cumin
  • 1 pinch of ground coriander
  • 1 pinch of salt

Preparation:

  1. Put all ingredients in a blender and mix for a minute. Best enjoyed after lunch!
  2. Serve lightly chilled.

Sweet Lassi

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of water
  • ¼ cup of natural yoghurt
  • 1 pinch of cardamom
  • A little rose water
  • Sugar (to taste)

Preparation:

  1. Mix all ingredients for one minute and drink after lunch.
  2. Serve chilled.

Mango Lassi

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of water
  • ¼ cup of natural yoghurt
  • 1 big mango

Preparation:

  1. Peel the mango, chop it and put it in the blender. Add enough water so that the mango pieces are covered.
  2. Puree, then add the remaining water and the yoghurt and mix everything until it is creamy.

Pitta Tea Lassi:

Refresh yourself with this delicious drink on a hot summer's day or as a cooling supplement to a light meal.

Ingredients:

Preparation:

  1. Make a strong tea with the water and the tea bag and allow to cool to room temperature.
  2. In a large jug, mix the yoghurt, cardamom powder, sugar and rose water.
  3. Then add the tea and mix well with a hand blender or a whisk.
  4. The drink can be refrigerated but is also delicious at room temperature.
